Great Program, Happy Kid

Are meals included with tuition? I was looking at their nutritious meal plans and wondered about that. My son absolutely loves the creative arts for kids program. The teachers are fantastic and he comes home with so many cool projects. We looked at KinderCare and Goddard, but Bright Star Kids seemed like a better fit for us. We got a good discount when we enrolled too, saved about 15%. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Good care, easy sign-up

We just started our little one in the toddler program. The enrollment process was pretty straightforward, and they helped us with a sibling discount, which was nice. I liked the Lynnwood location after the tour. The parking lot can be a bit tight though.

Smooth enrollment, great program

I enrolled my son in their kindergarten readiness program last August, and the whole process was really smooth. Scheduling the tour for the Portland location was easy online. They explained the tuition rates clearly, and we even got a full year prepayment discount. The curriculum focuses on early literacy and math foundations, and I've seen a real improvement in his skills. The staff is always friendly and responsive when I use the parent communication portal, though I wish they had more flexible drop-off times some days. Overall, a really positive experience and I'm glad we chose them.

Amazing Montessori experience

Oh my goodness, Bright Star Kids is just fantastic! We enrolled our daughter in their preschool program in Spokane and it has been such a wonderful experience. The teachers are so caring and really know their stuff about Montessori. She's learning so much with the practical life skills training and comes home happy every day. The communication portal is great, but sometimes updates are a little delayed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality childcare!

Good care, delivery was slow

We signed up for the toddler program. The actual care and activities, like early literacy programs, were very good. My son seemed happy and learned a lot. However, getting all the enrollment paperwork sorted took longer than I expected. There was a bit of a delay getting confirmation on his start date after we paid the tuition. It wasn't a huge issue, but it meant I had to follow up a couple of times. Once he started, everything was fine, and the staff were friendly. They offer good mathematical foundations for the little ones.

Excellent program, great communication

I enrolled my daughter in the Montessori preschool at the Lynnwood location. The enrollment process was smooth; I scheduled a tour online, and they walked me through everything. They answered all my questions about their curriculum focus and teacher-to-child ratio. The staff were very knowledgeable. Communication through their parent portal is a real plus; I always knew what activities she was doing. Her progress assessments showed real growth, especially in practical life skills. She enjoyed the sensory play activities and the outdoor play programs a lot. No complaints about the nutritious meal plans either. Highly recommend for early childhood education.

Worth the investment for quality

I was looking for the best value for kindergarten readiness and Bright Star Kids came up. I compared their tuition rates with a few other places. While not the cheapest upfront, the quality of their specialized Montessori materials and curriculum, focusing on social-emotional learning, seemed to justify the cost. I managed to get a sibling discount which helped lower the overall fee. The initial payment for the full-time childcare felt like a lot, but seeing the comprehensive program and what my child is learning, I feel it was a worthwhile purchase for his development. They also included meals, which is a big plus.

My kids love it!

Bright Star Kids is amazing! My two little ones are in the full-time childcare program, and they just adore going every day! I was so impressed with their language development programs, and they've made so many friends. The staff are just wonderful, truly. I'm telling all my friends with kids to check them out. We'll definitely be back for summer camp programs next year!

how long does it typically take to get a spot at the Spokane location? is there usually a long waitlist for the infant program?

M Matt Mitchell 1 month ago
Infant spots are always tough, everywhere. I'd call them directly, it changes fast.

J Jeff N. 1 month ago
I got my kid into the toddler program fairly quickly last year, but that was after the main August rush. Infants are probably harder to get into, so sooner is better to inquire.

anyone know if Bright Star Kids is actually legit Montessori or just kinda uses the name?

J Joseph Nguyen 3 weeks ago
From what I heard, they're certified. My neighbor's kid goes there and she's super into the Montessori method.

They seem to follow the proper curriculum and materials from what I've seen on their website and during my visit. Not like a 'Montessori-inspired' place.

hey planning to enroll my little one, do they do any kind of discount if I also sign up my older kid?

A Amanda Scott 3 weeks ago
yeah, they definitely have a sibling discount. I got one for my two kids last year.

C Carol Young 3 weeks ago
i think it's usually like 5-10% off for the second child, or something in that range. ask them when you tour.

how does Bright Star Kids compare to, say, KinderCare? trying to decide between the two for my toddler.

M Melissa R. 1 month ago
Big difference, Bright Star is actual Montessori. KinderCare is more traditional daycare. Depends what you're looking for.
1
T Tim Thomas 1 month ago
I'd say Bright Star focuses more on the independent learning and structured activities, while KinderCare might be more play-based and less academic in the early years. Tuition could be different too, worth checking both.

are there any seasonal deals happening right now for enrollment? thinking of putting my kid in for the fall.

E Ella Phillips 1 week ago
Fall (August/September) is a big enrollment time, so sometimes they have specials then, like waving the registration fee. Doesn't hurt to ask.

E Ella 1 week ago
Yeah, I got a waived registration fee when I signed up in January. They seem to do those kinds of things around peak times.

what's the deal with payment? do I have to pay for a whole year upfront or can I do monthly payments?

A Amanda Hill 3 weeks ago
You can totally do monthly. I pay every month for my son.
2
M Matt Smith 2 weeks ago
They do offer a discount if you pay for the whole year at once, which is pretty common for these places, but monthly is definitely an option if you prefer that.

Hey, thinking about Bright Star Kids for my little one. Anyone know if they do any kind of discount for multiple kids? I have two toddlers.

Z Zach Sanchez 4 weeks ago
Yeah, they totally do! I get a sibling discount for my two. It's usually like 5-10% off for the second kid.
1
D Donna T. 3 weeks ago
Can confirm the sibling discount. I think you just talk to them during enrollment about it, no special code or anything.

Does anyone know if Bright Star Kids offers tours? My partner and I wanna check out the Lynnwood location before we commit.

S Sean Smith 1 month ago
Yep, you can definitely schedule a tour. We did one for the Spokane place, just call them up or hit their website.

M Megan H. 1 month ago
They encourage tours actually. It's a good way to see the classrooms and meet some of the staff.
